Payroll Administrator

Payroll Compliance Ltd are looking for an experienced payroll administrator to join our growing team of payroll experts. The applicant will be diligent, accurate, proactive, and able to work unguided. They will have previous knowledge of working in a fast-paced payroll department/bureau and will be able to deal with all payroll and auto-enrolment queries. The applicant will be passionate about payroll, eager to learn new skills and have excellent communication and organisational skills. They will be customer-focused and a team player.

Salary range: £20,000 – £25,000
Hours: 37.5 Hrs, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Experience required

Desirable CIPP membership and qualifications or equivalent payroll diploma / apprenticeship

A minimum of 2 years payroll experience with a strong understanding of PAYE, NIC, Statutory Payments, Expenses and Benefits, CJRS calculations, Auto Enrolment and CIS

Comprehensive knowledge of various payroll software in particular BrightPay

Experience in dealing with HMRC, The Pensions regulator and other governing bodies such as Councils, Childcare Voucher Scheme providers and DWP

Setting up and closing PAYE Schemes, processing, and maintaining weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls

Setting up and closing Auto Enrolment Pensions schemes, enrolling, and opting out employees

Knowledge and familiarity with a range of auto enrolment pension providers

Trainee Payroll Administrator

Payroll Compliance is offering a fantastic opportunity for someone who is wanting to start a career in Payroll, doesn’t matter if you are starting out in your career or just wanting a change. Get hands on experience whilst completing the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) Advance Payroll Technician Qualification, a 36-week eLearning certified course where you will learn to apply complex legislation and contractual obligations and master the accurate calculation of deductions. You will also develop an understanding of the principles of Automatic Enrolment and Salary Sacrifice.

We will invest in you, paying for the qualification whilst you learn and train with us. You will work with us on the day-to-day payroll processes putting your learning into practice. On successful completion of the training, you will receive a competitive salary.

Candidates will be 18 or over, diligent, accurate, proactive, and able to work unguided. They will be passionate about payroll, eager to learn new skills and have excellent communication and organisational skills. They will be customer-focused and a team player.

Qualifications and skills required

GCSE Maths and English C or above

Good IT skills – particularly strong knowledge of Excel (formulars etc…)

Accurate and timely data inputting

Excellent communication and people skills

Proactive

Excellent time management skills

Ability to prioritise tasks and adhere to ridged time frames

Hours: 35hrs per week, Monday to Friday.

Office based in Cleeve, North Somerset.
